The Campion Centre

The Campion Centre is the learning support department at St John’s Beaumont, supporting boys with identified learning needs to enable them to work successfully in their classroom environment.  All the staff are qualified learning support teachers working closely with class teachers across the school to help meet the individual needs of all the boys.  As boys move through the school, they may be referred to the Campion Centre.  Usually support takes place through differentiated class teaching or small group work.

The Campion Centre works closely with teachers and parents to remove barriers to learning.  Through screening and external assessments, one to one support may be appropriate to target specific needs.  Furthermore, strategies can be given for study skills enabling the boys to improve their independent learning skills.
