INDEPENDENT SCHOOL GOLF CUP

We were delighted to enter our first ever team into the Independent Schools Golf Cup at Sunningdale Ladies Club this year in a ‘better ball’ stableford competition.  Jaime and Leo have, together with their team mates, worked extremely hard in preparation for this competition and both boys played on the day off a 36 handicap.

The competition was predictably fierce and the scores demonstrated a tremendous depth of talent on the day.  Jaime scored 57 points which secured him a lace just outside the top 10, with Leo scoring 40 points for an overall total of 97 points for St John’s.  This was the school’s first outing at such a large tournament and the boys not only learnt a great deal about competition of golf but had the most tremendous time doing so.

The boys have already started to lay plans for their assault on next years’ competition and golf’s popularity and meteoric rise at St John’s remains undiminished.

Well done to the entire team!
